CBI Special Public Prosecutor Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online (Lucknow, Jabalpur, Ghaziabad, Coimbatore)

Notification date: 09 September 2026. Application window: 08 September - 08 October 2026 for all four locations.

CBI has not advertised a fixed number of vacancies for this recruitment. Instead, a panel of eligible advocates will be empanelled as Special Public Prosecutors to be engaged as required at the Lucknow, Jabalpur, Ghaziabad and Coimbatore offices.

Applicants must hold an LLB degree, be enrolled with a State Bar Council as a practising Advocate, and have a minimum of 10 years' standing at the Bar with substantial experience conducting criminal trials in Sessions Courts. Experience handling cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 is a mandatory requirement. No specific age limit has been prescribed; eligibility is determined by years of professional standing and experience instead.
